Last week, Apple has claimed World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to own the domain iPhone5.com and now the case has been terminated in favor of Apple, as reported by TNW. Now, Apple has undertaken iPhone5.com domain under their custody. Currently, when you try to open the page it opens in a blank page.
Prior to this, iPhone5.com was just a small discussion forum related to iPhone 5. The forum was active since 2008, but lets see what does Apple bring it up on the new acquired domain or probably it will just be forward to Apple home page.

However, this does not guarantee that Apple will be calling its next gen iPhone as “iPhone 5” but it does give us hope that there are chances of the iPhone 5 to be the new iPhone coming in end of the year. There are even speculations that Apple will not using the domain and such disputes are merely protective plays by big firms.
