Finally, its Here! Wickedly skilled developer Pod2g and his team have just released the Absinthe 2.0 iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak for public. Chronic Dev Team members helped to test and package all the 7 exploits into a full-blown single package and update the Absinthe jailbreak tool.
Absinthe 2.0 supports all iOS 5.1.1 devices including iPhone 4, 4S, 3GS, iPad 3, 2 and iPod touch 3G, 4G. But all the devices must be running iOS 5.1.1 as Absinthe does not support devices on iOS 5.1 firmware.
Note for Unlockers:
If you rely on ultrasn0w for your carrier unlock on iPhone 4, 3GS, be sure to use a custom IPSW to get to 5.1.1 first! Don’t ever restore to a stock Apple IPSW! Use redsn0w 0.9.1bb4 “Custom IPSW” option to create a NO_BB_* version of the 5.1.1 IPSW and restore to this custom firmware instead of the stock one. (Note: That option is available only to 3GS and iPhone4-GSM owners.)
