Apple has released the next generation OS X Mountain Lion for registered developers. The redesigned operating system brings more than 100 new features such as Messages, Notes, Reminders, GameCenter, NotificationCenter, Twitter integration, AirPlay Mirroring and much more. OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion is highly integrated with iCloud to provide features to automatically configure Email services, FaceTime, and Find My Mac. The documents will be up-to-date across all apple devices as they are synced automatically with iCloud.
Mac OS X Mountain Lion replaces the conventional iChat will all new Messages app which enables to send unlimited messages, videos, and high resolution photos directly from one Mac to another or any other iOS device like iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Messages will also support AIM, Jabber, Yahoo! Messenger and Google Talk.
Gatekeeper is the name of the new Security feature implemented in preview of OS X Mountain Lion. Gatekeeper provides complete control over the apps though new features in System Preferences for users. It includes a new system for developers to sign their apps to keep track of the installed on your Mac, guarding it from any kind of malicious software attack.
Mountain lion introduces ‘AirPlay Mirroring’, using which you can wirelessly send a 720p video stream from your Mac to an HDTV using Apple TV. Additionally, it brings improvements for many popular Chinese services. Integration with Chinese email and video hosting sites (Youku and Tudou) as well as the Sina weibo microblogging service are also included.
