iPhone Dev Team has released Redsn0w 0.9.10b8 for mac and windows to provide any easy way to backup activation tickets after SAM unlock for iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS. As noted by Musclenerd and Sherif Hashim activation tickets are very important to save for unlockers for future use.
The Redsn0w 0.9.10b8 facilitates the activation tickets preservation in a very easy manner than the other methods available. The process requires the iPhone to be jailbroken with afc2 service and then automatically takes backup activation records from /var/root/Library/Lockdown location. Redsn0w adds the feature to take backup using afc2 by adding an option “Backup” as shown in the image below.
From iPhone Dev Team’s blog:
redsn0w 0.9.10b8 adds the ability to backup arbitrary directories or files from your device into a zip file on your Mac or PC. The new button is Extras->Even More->Backup and it requires your device to be jailbroken with the afc2 service enabled (most jailbreaks include that). By default it will backup your activation records from /var/root/Library/Lockdown, which is useful for everyone taking advantage of today’s SAM unlock using Loktar_Sun’s trick (more on that in a later post!).
You can download Redsn0w 0.9.10b8 for Mac and Windows from the links below. Though the process not tough to follow, but to provide more ease we will soon be posting the steps to save the activation tickets using redsn0w.
