Musclenerd has just updated redsn0w for iOS 6 beta tethered jailbreak. The redsn0w 0.9.13dev1 is useful for apps developers and not a public release. Updated redsn0w is compatible with A4 devices and iPhone 3GS. Cydia is also currently broken on redsn0w 0.9.13dev1 and users can do SSH only.
You can download the redsn0w 0.9.13dev1 from the links below for mac and windows. Currently, it is a tethered jailbreak, so you need to reconnect your device and jailbreak every time the battery goes off.
Redsn0w 0.9.13dev1 Jailbreak Supported Devices
- iPod touch 4G
- iPhone3GS
- iPhone4 (GSM)
- iPhone4 (CDMA)
Unlockers must stay away from the tethered jailbreak for iOS 6 as it will loose the baseband when installing. So, if you have preserved your baseband, then don’t jailbreak your device with updated redsn0w.
To jailbreak your device, you can first download the redsn0w from the links and after running, you must point it to your IPSW and use “Jailbreak” option” and “Just boot” tethered because that IPSW is only available to developers, and redsn0w can’t automatically fetch the pieces it needs from it.
iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPhone 4S users should not install redsn0w 0.9.13dev1 as it is not yet compatible with A5 devices.
