Seas0nPass to Untether Jailbreak Apple TV 4.4.4 Released [Guide]

Firecore has released Seas0nPass to support untethered jailbreak for Apple TV 4.441 (iOS 5.0.1). Seas0nPass jailbreak uses the Pod2g untethered jailbreak exploit to create custom IPSW firmware for Apple TV as used in Redsn0w and Corona. The latest verison of seas0nPass works for both windows and mac.

If you have already tethered jailbroken your Apple TV 4.4.4, you need to re-jailbreak using seas0nPass to make it untethered. For who don’t know, Seas0nPass is a jailbreaking Tool like PwnageTool that enables you to create custom firmware IPSW files for Apple TV and restore them with iTunes.  Here are the simple easy steps to jailbreak your Apple TV with seas0nPass.

Guide to Untether Jailbreak Apple TV 4.4.4 With Seas0nPass:

Pre Requiste

  1. Latest version of iTunes.
  2. Latest version of Seas0nPass (use links below).
  3.  A micro USB cable
  4. Disconnect any iPods, iPhones, and iPads from your computer.

Step 1: Unzip the ‘Seas0nPass.zip’ file and launch Seas0nPass.

Step 2: A screen will appear as seen below, now just select ‘Create IPSW’ to start jailbreak process.

Step 3: The latest AppleTV software will be downloaded and used to create a custom ‘jailbroken’ software file.

Step 4: You will get a prompt to connect your AppleTV to USB, then connect Apple TV using a micro-USB cable (leave power disconnected), and hold both the ‘MENU’ and ‘PLAY/PAUSE’ buttons for 7 seven seconds. ( please note: only silver (aluminum) AppleTV remote will work)

Step 5: iTunes will open automatically and start the restore process.

Step 6: iTunes will confirm the restore when complete – your AppleTV is now jailbroken.
