Now, the users with older basebands with iOS 5.1.1 (01.59.00, 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.13.04, 05.12.01 and 06.15.00) can unlock their jailbroken iPhones using Ultrasn0w 1.2.7.
It must be noted that NO new baseband support has been added to ultrasn0w, only users who have preserved their basebands while upgrading to iOS 5.1.1 can use ultrasn0w latest version. Your iPhone must be jailbroken using Redsn0w, PwnageTool or Sn0wbreeze to proceed with the utlrasn0w unlock.

How to Unlock iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G On iOS 5.1.1 with Ultrasn0w 1.2.7 Unlock
Step 1: Jailbreak your iPhone 4, 3GS on iOS 5.1.1 with the following tools and guide provided here. If already jailbroken then proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Once device is jailbroken, launch ‘Cydia’ on your jailbroken iPhone from the homescreen icon.
Step 3: Navigate to ‘Manage >Sources> Edit > Add from the appearing screens.
Step 4: A pop up will open to enter the url source as shown below. Enter ‘repo666.ultrasn0w.com ‘ in the space and select ‘Add Source’ button.
Step 5: The sources will be automatically updated by Cydia.
Step 6: Once it is done select the ‘Return to Cydia’ button and select ‘Done’.
Step 7: Now, select repo666.ultrasn0w.com from the list sources and select ultrasn0w to install.
Step 8: Select the ‘Install’ button and then the confirm button to start installation. [Alternatively, you can just search Ultrasn0w in Cydia and install it].
Step 9: Wait until the packages are installed. Wait until the process completes and select ‘Return to Cydia’button.
Step 10: Reboot the iPhone and you are done.
Now, your iPhone is unlocked on older basebands. If you already have SAM unlocked iPhone, you can just simply use Reds0w 0.9.b12 and the add your saved SAM Activation ticketswhile jailbreaking your iPhone.
