Here is some update on iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak. Pod2g has confirmed that he has successfully untethered jailbroken iPad 3 running iOS 5.1. Next, pod2g is working on stabilizing the payload and then it will be testing his untethered jailbreak exploits on iOS 5.1.1.
Last week pod2g has already untethered jailbroken iPhone 4 on iOS 5.1. He now targets iOS 5.1.1 with his expoit to jailbreak A5 / A5X devices. Hopefully, pod2g’s untethered jailbreak will be able to work on all devices including iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and iPad 3 as he has not yet announced to stay on iOS 5.1 for his untethered jailbreak.

However, pod2g has not given any ETA for the release, but we expect to be released soon as most of the work seems to be done. If the jailbreak will work for iOS 5.1.1 then after some testing the jailbreak will be ready to be packaged and released.
Though i0n1c has already untethered jailbroken iPad 3 on iOS 5.1.1 but he will not be releasing his untethered jailbreak and we have to wait for pod2g’s jailbreak to untether all devices.
