Apple Inc. (AAPL)’s next iPad tablet, due in March, will sport a high-definition screen, run a faster processor and work with long-term evolution wireless networks, according to three people familiar with the product.

The tablet will use a quad-core chip, an enhancement that lets users more quickly jump between applications, two of the people said

The report coincides with the earlier claims by Macotakara but still there are some random rumors of size of iPad 3 to be thinner, thicker or same as iPad 2.  Some rumors indicate that Apple has been able to adopt Sharp’s IGZO technology for thinner display, others claim that Apple has not approved Sharp’s technology and iPad 3 requires thicker display to support high-resolution IPS display from Samsung and LG.

Additionally, the report claims that Apple will be bring LTE to iPad 3 before iPhone due to iPad’s has bigger battery and it can better support the power requirements of the new technology. Carriers such as Verizon Wireless and AT&T are rolling out LTE networks to providing users faster access to data.

The new display is capable of greater resolution than the current iPad, with more pixels on its screen than some high- definition televisions, the person said. The pixels are small enough to make the images look like printed material, according to the person. Videos begin playing almost instantly because of the additional graphics processing, the person said.

Mass production of iPad 3 has already began since January and the Aisa manufactures are running 24 hours a day to meet the initial demand at the launch time in March. Though, there will be a halt on production at overChina’s Lunar New Year holiday and then ramp back up to a peak in February.
