iPhone 5 Launch Orders in September by Apple With 7 Inch iPad in August [REPORT]

by jbwire on May 9, 2012

According to the latest report by Taiwan technology supply chain, DigiTimes, Apple is set to launch the iPhone 5 in September 2012. It has been reported that Pegatron Technology (one of the manufacturer of next iPhone) has landed orders for Apple’s new-generation iPhone to be launched in September. Additionally, they also claim of order for launching the rumored 7 inch iPad line up in the coming August manufactured by Foxconn.
However, Apple has released the new iPad line up in March which does make another iPad release this year and looks like a dream hard to believe, but there has always been reports that Apple is planning iPad mini with same screen resolution as the iPad 2 and a 7.85 inch screen size.

Pegatron has already finished expanding its equipment and labor force for Apple’s orders.

To mainly focus on Apple’s orders, Pegatron has also internally decided to downsize its SI motherboard department and to shift resources to Apple’s orders.

A 7-inch iPad, which reportedly will be released in August, will be manufactured by Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry).

Pegatron is currently working as a original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for iPhone 4S and the new iPad and also working for other notebook devices companies like Toshiba, Acer, Lenovo and Fujitsu.

The report aligns with the earlier reports claiming the next gen iPhone to land up in fall just like iPhone 4S. If we look at the history the rumors leaked for the new iPad were quite correct whether specifications or dates. However, as for iPhone 5, currently, there are quite less speculations including the A5X chip, 1 GB RAM, thinner display and launch in September.
