Change Width and Text of Slide to Unlock Bar With SliderWidth Cydia Tweak

by jbwire on April 12, 2012

SliderWidth is a new tweak available in cydia which lets you change the width of the unlock bar as per your choice. Additionally, SliderWidth cydia tweak also allows modifying the text of the slider. If you bored of looking at “slide to Unlock” every time you unlock your device, you can get rid of it and change the text of your choice on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

Just after installing the SliderWidth tweak, it provides preference pane in the settings from where you can configure the width and text. The preference pane has different settings sections according to your device. As you can see in the image below, iPhone and iPod touch falls in same section while iPad has a different section. You need to turn ON the settings according to your device and set the value. The options for other devices need not be configured.

As the number increases the slider becomes narrower. To make it wider, set a smaller number and just set the “Enable Custom Width” option ON. SliderWidth also provide option to place an Apple logo in the slider text besides the option to change text as shown in the image below.

SliderWidth tweak can conflict with the Camera Grabber for iOS 5 tweak, so if you have installed it, you can just disable it. Developed by rvirajm, SliderWidth download is available in Cydia under modmyi repo and is free. It requires iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 5 or higher.
